Parade Time: 2:00 pm
Here comes the Parade! The Greater Bridgeton Area Holiday Parade Committee announces the 2008 Christmas Parade to be held on November 30th at 2:00 p.m. The patriotic theme for the 2008 Parade is “A Red, White, and Blue Christmas” honoring our Armed Service Personnel and the very essence of what our great country was founded on, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” We invite the entire community to join us in celebrating our country, our servicemen and women and the freedoms they fight to protect.
We continue our holiday tradition honoring the accomplishments of the 2008 Little League World champions…The North Cumberland Senior All Star Buy’s Team and the World Series Runner-up West Cumberland Little League Girls All Stars as our Parade Grand Marshall’s. These two teams of dedicated young people bring pride and a sense of accomplishment to the youth of our area. There is no better example of dreams that can come true if you work hard and believe in yourselves.
The Holiday Parade Committee has seen great success in the past few years and the Bridgeton Area Parade has grown to be the largest holiday celebration of its kind in the region. While we celebrate our area and the season, we ask you to help us help others. This year we will be hosting a donation drive for essential items to be sent to our Armed Forces Units serving our country overseas. Look for future announcements for directions and drop-off locations.
We are in the process of finalizing the Sponsorship Packages and will be offering exciting opportunities for your group or business. The information will be mailed out this week. We also have a website that will have all the information available while allowing us to highlight our Partners and Sponsors.
